Friday 9 October marks the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness Week, a time of remembrance for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby in pregnancy, at or soon after birth, or in infancy.
“Mi be’kitzo u-mi lo be’kitzo – those who complete their normal span and those who do not.” From the High Holy Day Unetaneh Tokef prayer
Some of you may wish to include those briefest of lives this Shabbat and Yom Tov, when we say Kaddish. Some might also like to take part in the International Wave of Light on Thursday 15 October at 7 p.m., lighting a candle or candles in memory.
There is a nice prayer on the ritualwell web site.
