A television company called Proper Content are making an exciting new documentary for BBC One exploring how British Jews mark life’s key moments, looking at the celebrations, ceremonies and traditions that take place.
The programme will form an episode in a series about Britian's four biggest religions, outside of Christianity and will be a real celebration of the faiths as well as positive and informative experience for a viewer.
If you are:
- Expectant/new parents planning to have a Brit Milah within the next couple of months who would be interested in taking part in an interview about the ceremony and surrounding traditions.
- Teenagers and families with upcoming Bar/Bat Mitzvahs celebrations this year.
They would also like to talk to people holding a funeral or Stone setting for a loved one in September-November.
Taking part in the documentary would involve an interview, accompanied by showing some footage of the ceremony. This is a really exciting and unique opportunity to mark a special life moment and be part of a celebration of British Jewry. They would also be very happy to speak with people who have celebrated one or more these moments within the past couple of years and would be happy to share footage from the day.
They are looking for people from all backgrounds! If you’re interested or know someone who might be please contact them directly to discuss the show further.
