Sinai has been supporting the refugee organisations in Leeds for a long time.
We have a collection point in the foyer for toiletries to be donated to destitute asylum seekers via PAFRAS.
PAFRAS says “more than ever we need donations of tinned food and toiletries. Please deliver to our office between 10am and 3pm Monday-Friday”.
Delivering directly to PAFRAS (Unit 24, UNITY Business Centre, 26 Roundhay Road, Leeds, LS7 1AB) is the quickest way to get your donations to the people who need them, urgently. They need: Shower gel, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, razors, menstrual products, nappies….all the things we take for granted and nip out to buy whenever we need them.
If you can’t get your donations to PAFRAS the next best thing is to bring them to Sinai whenever you visit, leave them in the foyer and we will get them delivered.
There are other Refugee/asylum seeker organisations in Leeds who need help through financial donations, volunteering and other one off or ongoing support. If you are interested, email Pippa
Supporting refugees isn’t just a nice thing to do, it is an obligation for us as Jews. Please help to make Leeds as welcoming as possible, it’s hard being strangers in a strange land.
